Fabric size
Hi,

Just a quick question, do I really need to use a 25" x 36" fabric size for a 21.4" x 14.3" project size? TIA!

good morning.
ECS has a fabric calculator . You enter. the stitch count for the width and height of your project.
It will tell you how much fabric you use.
I am just a stitcher from Cols Ohio, not an employee of ECS.
Good Luck.

Fabric Size:   19" x 26"  (14ct fabric)
We recommend at least 2 inches of extra fabric surrounding the design.  A piece of 19"x26" fabric will give you 2.3" of fabric on the left and right, and 2.4" on the top and bottom.
The stitched area will be 21.4" x 14.3".

This is what size the fabric calculator gives for 14 count. If you want to use a different size Aida, divide the count into 300 for width and 200 for height. For example for 18 count - divide 300 by 18 and 200 for height. Or again use fabric calculator.

That is a beautiful pattern.

Hello Hazel,

The dimensions that are given in the post above this are correct. A fabric piece the size of 19 x 26 would be fine for the design. However, we only sell specific cuts of fabric on our website so that size you see listed in our supply list under the pattern is the size we have available for this pattern. We don't do custom cuts for each design on the website, so we have to put there the closest size piece that we do have available. Hope this information clears things up :)

Gorgeous colours!! Not red and green (a little tired of doing red and green after my Santa of the Forest!!) and not just blues and greys as on the China Cat I'm working on right now.
