I can't remember, I think 500. I recently finished a project that used over 1,000 beads and I can tell you that you need to order extra. Many are not usable, you can't fit a needle through the hole, unless you use a beading needle and they are not for me - too fragile and pointy. Not to mention, that two strands of floss will not fit through a beading needle. I used the 28 Bohins but tossed a ton of beads. Especially some colors are tricky.
It also helps if you order a Tacky Bob, the adhesive holds your beads in place. I think I got one from Amazon and the other from Nordic Needle.

Love my Tacky Bobs! But remove your beads each session...weight of the beads makes them really stick to the pad. I only pour out a "bit" at a time. :)

Hello,

For the Glass Seed Beads there are about 500 per package:

Thank you :)

Right you are, VCESS, not to mention that it's tedious business sorting and returning 1,500 beads into the little containers. I establish little sections. The new ones, the ones with tight holes that I might have to use a beading needle for, etc. That group gets thrown out when I'm finished. I keep them just in case I need two more beads of that particular color and it's all I have left. Just like running low on a floss color and being too lazy or busy to go shop for it.
Half of our property has been mulched and the smell is awful but it looks great. Especially when wet!

I just started a project with beads and I have found that a size 24 blunt needle works great for beads. Its small enough but not crazy thin like the beading needles. You also can use two strands of thread with them also.

Denise, several years ago I went on a "search" to find out how many beads are in these various packages. There is a very easy way to find out. First google: mill hill beads then scroll down to the Wichelt website. Click on that it will take you directly to the information on beads at their site. You will see counts listed for each of the beads listed. 00479 has 475 beads per pack. Hope this helps you and other stitchers!

Jersey that is a fantastic site. I had never seen it before and am amazed at the information there. Thank you so much for sharing. I have entered it into my "important stuff to remember about stitching" area. Have a great w/end.
