Two questions about this piece:
1) Does it have 1/2 and 3/4 stitches?
2) How would this look on Aida fabric? What count would I us?

Thank you,
Marlene

This is beautiful and an usual shape. It will be a challenge to complete but very rewarding when done.

Thanks for your help, Kristi...I bought it and if I can go to the dungeon of floss, then I will kit it all up. This is one of those
"I hope I live long enough to complete this for him" designs.

I think that someone miscalculated the finished size of this product. It is going to be large but not quite 59 x 38 inches. That would take up a whole wall.

At any rate, I figured if I forced myself to stitch a 10 x 10 block (100 stitches) every day and never had to do any frogging I could finish this in just under six years. Definitely way beyond my endurance level.

Ummm...these measurements are stated in centimeters...so it's 23+" x 14+"....I was hoping Su hadn't lost her mind! LOL

The big secret is that when I finish this, it is for my youngest child's paramour (I can't think of what to call him, but know some things that I would like to call him). My main reasons are: he does not work, he has no car, he has no money whatsoever, but talks her into spending every weekend until winter and begins again in early Spring, to talk her into going camping (not to worry...he has convinced her to buy top-of-the-line gear) AND he is eleven years older than she is. Yes, folks, when she was in kindergarten at 5, he could legally drive at 16 (too bad that they didn't meet back then, as even the ever tolerant DH would have not been so chummy. I figure that, until all this has passed, I shall remain silent. This bear design must be flipped so that Mr. Bear faces to the left, but I can do that.

With both NANCYE and VCESS watching out for me, I should have no problem figuring this out! Fabric color? The Bear Flag as we call it in California, predates us being a state. Should I add the red stripe at the bottom? The red star at the upper left?

Since you asked my opinion; I would not add a stripe at the bottom and a star at the top. I lot of extra work and I think it would take away from the beauty rather than add to it. I missed the fact that the finished measurements were in centimeters instead of inches.

Su, that is a lot of floss. I have plenty of duplicate flosses that I would be happy to share if you need anything

HAPPY STITCHNG.
