25 count linen
I have a pattern that calls for 25-count driftwood linen from Zweigart (stitch count 300H x 200W). I do not have access to a needlework shop in my community so cannot make comparisons between different materials from different manufacturers. Is the Wichelt 25 count Dublin linen a proper substitute?

Those of us not lucky enough to have a shop with variety of fabrics close by have run into this same dilemma. I have thought about calling and requesting sample cuts, but I really doubt they can afford to do it. I once ordered 3 different colors and counts...fell in love with all, but haven't found a suitable project for the third cut...yet. As you see, I can offer no help, just blah, blah, blah. :) Best advice? Make the plunge, order it. If you hate it, return it. :) Let us know how that works for you...I've yet to return any fabric or floss, kit, or patterns. :)
