Welcome Baby
I would like to order 2 of these items because my daughter and daughter in law are pregnant, but I do not know the either gender yet. I am looking for a quick project and this looks like it would not take too long to complete.

Would I be able to order the gingham fabric as displayed?

Please let me know at your earliest convenience.

I think that you will be using white aida and stitching the squares so that it looks like gingham. Seems like a fairly easy project. Just remember. You DO NOT have to follow the suggested supply list. You can use any color fabric and make the little squares any color you choose to. Pink and blue might be too ordinary for your special grandchildren.

That is what I would do. Have enough white fabric to make two. I would use a light green, as that seems popular with those who prefer to not know if their baby is a boy or girl. Then, you could complete the top & bottom borders, the flower, the "Welcome Baby". That would just leave you the names and dates as you get closer to the births. I haven't seen the gingham fabric here, but I would just google "gingham aida fabric". There are online businesses that do have it.

The original models were stitched on 28 count Graziano Gingham linen. It's pretty hard to find now, but some shops may have old stock. It was available through Norden crafts but they have closed.
