You could try contacting the designer. The contact information should be on your pattern. It is shame that you have put so much work into this project and not happy with the results.

This is a Mystic Stitch design. If you go to the website, you could e-mail her. It may take a bit of time for her to get back to you but I recommend persistence.
IF the design can not be enlarged to include the sides, you could resort to what I call ‘plan B’ which is more work but is possible. It would involve you using the already stitched area of the birds’ feathers on your PAPER pattern to complete the portion of the feathers that are cut off on the sides.

Hope you have the extra width in your fabric...but if you don't, perhaps you can have it matted and framed to look as if the "crop" was your intent. Matted up to the stitching, it won't look horrible... it will look like you worked your uh-huh off to produce a lovely work of art! :)
