Stitching white parts
I recently purchased this kit and I want to know if you are supposed to stitch the beard, cat, and bottom of snowman
with white floss. The pattern says to only stitch details in white. There is not enough white floss for the beard, cat, and bottom of snowman. Any feed back would be welcomed. Thanks

Hi MaryLou,

When I blew up the photo it is clear that the white is the Aida cloth...no white stitching, which makes sense as you say there is not enough white floss. You could always buy more and fill it in if you like...?

I like the idea of stitching the white with Rainbow Gallery Wisper Thread, which looks like hair, in white or antique white. The blue curly-cues in the beard would look good in the same brand of floss, but in pearl gray. This site does not stock this thread, but it is available at 123stitch.com
You need a stiff and a soft toothbrush to brush the floss when you done. Kids enjoy petting this floss. You could do the hair and Santa's coat trim in this same Wisper white thread, but I would stitch the snowman's bottom in regular white floss. The kit will not tell you that you can use Wisper for human hair and beard and for animal fur because it comes in several colors.

I really like SuPitt's suggestion. I have done other projects using the same white floss and loved the results. Post a picture when you are done so we can see the results! Linda
