Has anyone done this pattern? I see on the supplies list that it is stitched on 28 ct crossed wing collection JAI. I am not sure if JAI is the color or not. I went to their website and didn't see that listed if it is, in fact, the name of the color. Any suggestions as to what color I could do this on if not the green. I am thinking maybe an off-white, but I do like the green color just afraid it will be too expensive. Any suggestions or ideas are welcome!!
Thanks,
Jacquie

Jacquie - When I go into this item the Fabric description I see is: Crossed Wing Collection's 28ct Rainforest Lugana. While they don't carry that color here, it does look lovely. They do carry some very nice looking Jobleans in Blues/Greens/Lavenders/Orange/Pink - they have a virtual rainbow. There are also some colored 28ct linens that would be nice as well. Any color that will show off both the black and the white would look very nice. I would suggest placing a skein of white and one of black on an off-white piece of material to see what you think. I think the white might not pop as much as I would like. I would be more apt to go for a colored background but that is just my opinion. There also have some colored aidas if you don't want to work on linen/even weave.

LadyJ, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE color fabrics! I enjoy stitching them so much more than on white. I think some of them are pricey, but most are such a pleasure, I just pay the price...and watch prices and don't buy till the last moment before I start my project. :) I don't bag it/store it if the project has a dyed fabric, either. But I will never have a huge stash, can't see the point. :)

Thanks for the advice ladies. I think I will do it on a colored fabric but most likely stick to Aida since I have never stitched on linen and it scares me a little. (lol)
