Yarn
Can someone tell me how many strands of yarn is used for the X's. I purchased the kit for my mother and she can't seem to find where it states how many to use.

That is a beautiful project. Looking at the pattern, Since it’s 16-count, I would use 2 strands.

Hi there

The word kit means that it is a package that contains everything to do for finish the cross stitch that you had bought beside the frame. First of all it doe t contain yarn. It contains floss. 2) if you go to youtube.com and write down how to use and start cross stitching you will find more of answer than anything else. Enjoy.

I've completed a Riolis kit. The "floss" can be acrylic and woolly and yarn-like. On my directions sheet, there was the key for the symbols and it told me how many of each color to use. Mine had a mix of 1 and 2 strands. And occasionally a mix of 2 colors. It should be explained in the instructions.

This is a beautiful pattern.
I can see why your mother might be confused .......
Since the packaged kit states that it contains fabric, acrylic and wool yarn, etc.
From looking at the package it might be the "yarn" is for the bow. I too am confused as most floss is cotton. After reading the directions carefully and it is still not clear maybe the mfg can be of help.

Most kits from Riolis contain a wool/ acrylic blend type of floss. I looked it up on the company's website.

Thanks for all of your replies. The kit does include the yarn. However, it does not show how many strands to use. She has tried it with two strands and it looks fine. It is also stitched on 16 count. Thanks again.
