What is included in the kit?
I'm new to cross stitch and think I need a beginner project. Is this a good choice?

Hi,
If you touch the view item button by and below the picture on your char, it will give you information as to what you get with this ‘kit’.
I think it is a good choice with a small amount of floss colors and a finished size that’s not overly large.
As a beginner I strongly suggest you to read about how to do the full cross stitch AND half cross Stitch that is in the directions that come with the kit AND how to center the project on the fabric. If you look at the bigger picture of these birds, you will see that the background colors behind the birds is only half cross stitches.
If you have any questions or run into any problems doing this project, feel comfortable to come onto the ECS ‘chat board’ and ask us. There are a LARGE number of experienced stitchers who frequent this ‘chat’ and willing to help you. Have fun and enjoy learning a wonderful type of embroidery! 😃
Oh, and I’m not an employee of ECS but one of the stitchers that saw your chat. :)

Oh, I forgot.
I would suggest, depending on your financial situation, that you purchase one package of needles, size #24 I believe would be good with 14-count aida fabric in the kit.
Stitchers always seem to lose needles for some reason, yours truly included. I don’t know if they get ‘lost in the floss’ or we inadvertently put them in different places, but the this ‘event’ appears to be rather common with
stitchers! :)

Sometimes our husbands "sit" ON the needle and when they ask IF you were using the chair as a pin cushion-you lie- but since you two are the only ones there, you learn to buy a pin cushion. By the way, I am knitting a scarf for my husband. I just love all the new blended colors. Hope you enjoy cross stitching.

That's a very pretty pattern, and I think you will enjoy stitching it. Welcome!
