This sounds like a ridiculous question but what TYPE of fabric are you trying to compare the ivory and antique white to? 14-count aida? 25-count evenweave? :)

I would say it depends on what you are stitching. If you are doing a coverall pattern it doesn't make any difference. In my mind's eye on most pieces it wouldn't matter to me. However, some stitchers and/or recipients can be very particular.
