needle size
what size needle should be used for the 14 count aida cloth for this project? All kits I've completed have come with the needle included. This one did not. maybe is doesn't matter but just checking.
thanks
sue

Hi Susan.
I looked it up on two websites and it says to use
a size 24 tapestry needle on 14-count aida.
Nice dog picture. :)

There's also a Golden Retriever Smile...I don't have a dog and I LOVE that thing! 😊

Oh, I think there are ugly dogs, but it doesn't matter, can't help loving them! They are just like some ugly people...they understand love just that much more which makes their smiles brighter, hearts bigger, souls deeper. 😄 How can you resist? 😃

Size 24 or 26 should work well on 14 count Aida. Do yourself a favor and buy additional needles in that size so that you can keep several threaded with at least the main colors. Over the years, I have amassed enough needles in my favorite sizes so that each project I have in progress has its own set of needles. Needles get lost, develop burrs and occasionally break over time, so having an arsenal of supplies is helpful.

For all my projects on Aida fabric I use a regular sharp embroidery needle. Works great for Aida fabric especially if you have fractional stitches to do.
