I noticed on ECS site that some of the other patterns by this designer calls for DMC threads, but customer service can verify this for you on Monday and provide the color list too.

Many times I have used colors different than what is called for. It's fun and it's usually because I love the pattern but not the colors. I love DMC and the only two I would consider changing is white anchor and black anchor, even though I usually use DMC black and white. I use my discretion in color. Now if it is something like an animal for instance I won't change from DMC. When I first started out cross stitching, I had to do EVERYTHING as set out in the pattern. Now I know the cross stitch police won't be banging on my door. Just have fun.
