still looking for a pattern to use on blue fabric
Hi..I asked this on the "springtime chickadees" page, too ...
Does anyone think this pattern would work on Charles Craft blue delft?

I've had this fabric for years and I want to use it - Its very hard to find something that can have a blue background,
I've been scouring the internet looking for different bird patterns, and everything is either too big, or too small...(guess I have Goldilocks syndrome - looking for something JUST right)

I think either one would look great!!! It would just look like a blue sky in the background.

Hi Jaba

That's what I thought, too, but my concern is the blue-ish branch on the tree.
Will that not look right against the blue fabric? Do you think it might "disappear"?

Maybe you could just do it like the other branches, I personally don't know why that branch has to be blue. I suppose to look like it is shadowed. lay your blue colors on the fabric to see how it will look.

I agree with Jaba I would lay the blue thread they suggest for the branch against the blue fabric and see how it looks. I would also consider changing the color of the branch to something with more gray in it if it is too blue and this is the one you want to do. Either one would be pretty. I'm still partial to the other one with the dogwoods though. Imo green and blue look so pretty together.

I really like the Crossed Wing Collection bird patterns also. Have you thought of using one of them? For example I think any of these would be simply gorgeous on the blue fabric.

Especially the center one with the red berries.
