Damaged
I ordered the thread with the pattern and it came in a completely torn up envelope and the pattern was a wreck ☹️
I would recommend ordering either/or Not both together.

Shouldn’t they have taken more care in the packaging?

It is not the mistake of everything cross stitch store. U don t know exactly what had happend when this envelop reach U.
It does go threw machines of course to sort where it is going. Enjoy your cross stitch and don t brood about it.

I’m positive they are aware of the mailing process. That being said, how exactly am I supposed to “enjoy” a pattern I cannot work because it’s torn up?
And as I said, I would recommend ordering either the pattern or the thread but not together. I Would Not recommend wasting $16+ on a possibly damaged pattern

DO NOT ASSUME THAT ECS WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGE. This is a Chat for members to help each other and express suggestions and opinions. You should have contacted the Customer Service Department before posting your dissatisfaction. They would not be able to stay in business if they consistently used poor shipping practices.

I have received many items from other vendors that the Post Office destroyed. Usually they come with a label saying that they were the ones responsible for the damage. In the four or five years that I have participated in this Chat I have never seen a complaint like this that Everything Cross Stitch did their best to satisfy the customer.

Erica, I hope that by now that you have called customer service. There is not one stitcher on this site that if it happened to them, they would be upset. I am now on a fixed income and when I order something, it is a luxury because I have to watch how much I spend since i'm not working anymore. Just call ECS and let them know. They will be upset because they want customers to be happy and to be repeat customers. I am sorry that this happened to you. And yes, I am just a stitcher who has an opinion like everybody else . Peace. Pam I guess now you all can jump on me. She should have been directed to customer service in the first place BECAUSE we don't work for ECS. Now jump and God Bless Each and Everyone of you.

Definitely contact ECS customer support. They helped me with a mailing issue where the envelope had opened and all but one pattern was missing. They replaced all the missing patterns without any fuss and got it to me very quickly.

Right on, Pam!
I also received an order in a damaged parcel box. The box had been completely crushed and caused one end to gap open. If the floss had not been inside a plastic bag it would have escaped. Thankfully the patterns were not damaged. I know since the items weren't breakable then the thought is the box needs no filler, but.... I have a PO Box, so I checked out contents before leaving the post office.

Hello,

I am sorry to hear about the damage to your package. We know these sorts of things can happen during the shipping process with the postal service and apologize for that. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time something like this has happened and I am sure it won't be the last and we normally reship damaged items to customers when we are notified about it. If you would like for us to reship your order, just contact our Customer Service dept either by phone or by email and they will be able to take care of the issue for you. Make sure to have your order number handy, so they can bring up the correct order. Thank you.

With the weather, and the accidents, I am sure there are more than a few damaged packages. It happens!! Thankfully ECS is a good company who are willing to make things right.
Pam, I love the way you think, I too have been victim of certain chatters. Makes you not want to post an opinion. I am learning to let it just slide!!!

Ugh! Def not ECS's fault. But I've been there! And I totally sympathize with you and your frustration! I think my "favorite" is when I order patterns and ECS clearly puts "Do Not Bend" on the envelope, and guess what the post office does?!!? BENDS IT and crams it in my mailbox instead of just leaving it on my doorstep!
