I don't think it's too plain. Whoever you are planning it for would be a fan, plus they will love it because you made it specifically for them. Enjoy!

I think it is pretty in its simplicity and if someone stitched it for me I would be honoured. Go for it. And if they are Dr Who fans you've got it made!!

Not too plain! Sometimes less (colors) is more. You can always do something special with the framing - double mats, frame with a design, etc. You might want to make sure that his is something that the bride and groom would appreciate. Would hate to hear that the happy couple put it in the back of their closet!

I agree with the others, I like the simplicity and the muted colors of it will coordinate nicely with whatever they are decorating with.
