It is Possible to kit it yourself. The chart should list all the floss colors needed and what type of fabric to purchase. I got dissatisfied with kits when I began stitching. It was a pain sorting the colors. One time I discovered that I had chosen the wrong color for stitching part of the design. I didn't know what to do. Now I realize that I could have written to the manufacturer of the pattern and asked for more of the needed thread. I think that kit is a UFO in my closet. I may get it out when I am retired and can't afford to buy the thread and fabric needed for a project.
