Number of Counts
Sorry for this question: the count Number (Ct.) is bigger when the number of holes is lower?
In other sense,,, bigger the Ct . more threads I need?
Thank you very much

If you stitch on a 28 ct. over one, the design will be smaller. If you stitch over two, your design will be larger. At ECS in the product section, they carry all types of material with different counts and lots of different colors. I love being able to stitch on different colors . There are no cross stitch police so you can choose color, count and texture. I am just a stitcher and if you have any questions, we have men and women stitchers that give great advice. Hope this helps. Peace. Pam

Hi Karina. I think you are on the right track. Lower count fabrics like 11 or 14 count Aida have fewer holes per inch and require more thread for good coverage.

Higher counts like 18 or 20 count Aida, or 36 or 40 count linens, have more threads or holes per inch and generally require less thread for coverage.
