Calling all ECS Chatters...
With Bermuda going incommunicato for a week we will need others to take up the funny slack. So am asking all to please relate their musings, funny stories, life experiences etc. All of us need her chuckles and wisdom! I am sure their are some out there who have amusing tidbits for us and I know there is a great deal of wisdom - so let's get together and fill in the slack during a Bermuda free zone! 😢

I don't have any funny stories, or advice, but I've got a picture that should you keep you laughing. Me, and my now husband circa 1980. What were we thinking?

Jaj you are looking good! Your hubby...…..I do remember those types of shorts from the time - not a great look.

Remember eons ago when basketball players use to wear tight shorts like that? Some almost looked like Speedo's on the players! 😲

OMG those shorts are hilarious I love the 1920's? Car. I do have a story. I was in Walmart last weekend with my ex sis in law who is more like a sister to me because we grew up together. We were looking for toys and a random man asked me if I wanted a drink of his milk, I said no thank you and he said "I ate the donuts but the milk is good" I was standing there thinking what the ?? Gives new meaning to got milk?

Nettie, at our house we call that having the “nut magnet”. We were st Brant Point (Nantucket) and there was a man with some pretty fancy cameras, I said something like what a beautiful day to take pictures, and he said he wanted to give me a gift. He took a rock out of his pocket, told me he wanted me to have it because it had “the beloved mother’s face on it.” I still have it.

I worked at Whole Foods for a little over a year. Oh my...the ENTITLEMENT! I was a cashier. I'll never forget the lady who yelled at me because the Whole Foods brand of canned goods had PBA in the interior lining. She asked me if it the can contained it. I had no clue, and that ticked her off. I called the grocery manager up to the register, only to find out that the can DID have PBA (it's some substance that has been deemed carcinogenic). She was SO MAD. She left her order on the belt and stormed off.

I've had people confront me with their anger over the contents of bottled water, the use of plastic bags, the placement of carts and baskets around the store, the temperature of the freezer aisles, and why the hell we didn't sell cigarettes (um, it's WHOLE FOODS, maybe you missed the memo?)

I lasted a year....I consider that an accomplishment.

I worked 18 yrs up north for a large farm store and I thought I had seen the nut jobs there. It is nothing compared to Walmart. OMG every nut and his sister and brother come in everyday its something new. my dh can not stand to see men wear buns or braids in there hair. he can understand a ponytail to keep the hair out of there face but nothing else.so I other day I was working and this man comes by me wearing the same style of headband I was wearing. he seen me did a double take then took off lol.

Hey, we were all fashion mavens back then. I look at old photos that make me cringe but I sure would take the figure that I had back then! Pam
