New Cross Stitcher
Just ordered my first kit. It should arrive next week. Looking forward to starting my first project. My wife loves to cross stitch and convinced me I should try it. I know most of the people here are women, but I hope to share my progress.

Welcome to the ECS chat- board and good for you!
We do have other counted cross stitchers on the ECS chat-board that are men. They are excellent and experienced
Counted cross stitchers. PLUS you are fortunate because your wife is a cross stitcher so she can assist you.
I think you will love it and all of the stitchers here on the chat will be delighted for you to show your progress! πŸ˜ƒ

WELCOME GENET -- Wondering if you and your wife are going to maintain separate stashes!!! (yes, I am being a little silly)

That is a good question Nancy!
He might want his own stash because of the different subject patterns he would be more interested in compared to his wife’s charts. One of many positive things with both of them stitching is they can share ideas AND both will have an understanding ear when one or both of them have to β€˜frog’!

Welcome, Genet! You're going to love it in here! Is your wife already a regular? Bring your jokes and a sense of humor, PLEASE! 😊

Hey Genet! Is your wife one of our regular posters?

Let's play a little word game? The couple who stitches together -- frogs together!
Any other opinions? The couple who stitches together +++++++ together!

And if anyone gives you any grief because you are a cross stitched, tell them that it's a well-known fact that Rosie Grief, the former football player, was an avid needlepointer! Welcome to our group!!

At least the stitching partners won't be complaining about the Ott light reflecting in the tv...😊.
