I think they are full cross stitches, Ladyj - according to the information posted on ECS.

ARTECY patterns are usually 100% full specials. I am sure that once you see the pattern you will be able to see how the stars are formed. The finished size stitched on 14 count fabric will be 8.2 x 14.5 inches -- that is on the small size for ARTECY. If you wait a couple days, Tereena (the owner of Artecy) will probably see your question and give you a definite answer. Her patterns are very popular.

I agree with lmurdoch. The cover page of the pattern says "only full cross stitches are used in this pattern." It also says the finished size on 14ct is 8.5 x 10.5 inches.
