Sailboat
How is the sailboat made? It does not appear to be a cross-stitch. I'm kind of new at this. :)

Hello,

It's a sailboat button :)

I wonder if it is a button?? Very unusual pattern that includes plastic as well as aida cloth.

Plastic? What plastic? Why didn't Kristi lost the supply list? 😊

Looks to me like the border is done on plastic canvas and used as sort of a mat over the fabric that has the button and the stitched name and DOB. Interesting. I've never seen that before. (Seems to me I've been seeing a lot of stuff I've never seen before lately!) 😄

Enlarging the picture, it looks as if the aida is centered on the plastic.

Welcome to ECS. the sailboat is a button and the stitches that U see are from a pattern or kit that U can purchase from this site. Just go to customer care as I do and call them. Give your name and address and ask for what you have in mind If U need to know anything about (( Crosstitching )) Youtube.com will give informations about it from A to Z. I just want to tell you that Etsy.com sell a lot of the boat shape buttons in wood or metal. Hope that help.

I agree with transhop - zooming in, the border is like a picture mat done in plastic canvas, the aida beneath in the center with the name and the button sewn on. What a cute idea to combine the two!!! This must be stunning when framed - if you make it please come back and show us the completed project!!

Oh, yeah! I was so focussed make sure it was a button, I didn't even see the "frame"! Duh! A really cute, and surprising idea! Worth finding that button for it...it's Just CUTE!
