“Crab Cakes” by Vickery Collection
Kristi,
Do you know the height and width of each individual crab?
The info gives only the measurements for the whole pattern. Thank You!

Hi there Bermuda,

I am sorry but I do not know that information :( I can get the pattern ordered and and when it comes in, I can count the area of the crab to get an approximate size for you. It will just be a few days to get it in. Thanks!!

Thanks Kristi! I appreciate that! I would like to stitch them individually and need to get a close approximate size to determine if they will fit on a small wall I have. Plus they’ll make wonderful small projects to stitch while I’m working on my larger WIPS! 😃

Bermuda, not to be nosy, but I had to see what "Crab Cakes" was. Those are really cute. I really like the Vickery collection. I'm not really into roosters, but they have some very colorful ones. I had to put them on my wish list, put some of the Christmas ornaments on too. I just love really colorful things, and these are.

I’m with you djhmom! I love the different bright colors of the crabs and plan on putting 2 of them on a small wall.
Kristi is going to get me the approximate stitch count of them, then I’ll purchase the chart from ECS as well as decide on the fabric to use. I’ll stitch them to save my sanity when working on my large WIPS.
What have you been working on lately? 😃

Hi there Bermuda,

I got the physical copy of the Crab Cakes pattern in today and counted the squares for the crabs. They are approximately 100 stitches wide x 90 stitches high. That is without counted the border that surrounds it. Hope this information helps!! And thanks for being so patient with me as I waited for this pattern to come in :)

well Bermuda, I have way too many things working right now. I have "Wildlife Collection" Cody Country, "Loneliness in Autumn" Artery, a Fractal, a HAED design by Myles Pinkney, a T-Ex, plus a couple of small ones. But I want to order a Thomas Kinkade from HAED and add that to my WIPs. I keep liking what everyone else keeps posting. My stash is enormous!

Kristi,
Thank you for getting the individual “Crabcakes” dimensions to me. They will work for that small wall I have here! I took a chance and ordered the pattern about 3-4 days ago. These little crab patterns are going to keep me sane while working on my large WIPS. Thanks for the extra effort of getting the info for me!
Oh by the way, I was standing in line today at a craft store and the woman ahead of me saw some of my DMC floss I was purchasing and asked me if I did counted cross stitch. It seems she did counted cross Stitch when she was young but gave it up when she got married, got rid of her whole stash, but now was coming back to it. She showed me her basket with DMC floss in it. She complained that there were hardly any patterns at the stores like she remembered years ago. She said she is starting to try to find patterns on the computer. I asked her to get out her pen and paper and I would give her the names of 4 cross stitching websites to look at patterns. “Everything Cross Stitch” was one of the 4 On-line stores I
Gave her. She became very excited about going home to begin looking at patterns. Just thought you would like to hear that! 😃
