Christmas
So there is snow on the ground here. Melting quickly thank God! But yesterday the snow was beautiful and put me in the mind of Christmas. I have several projects I am doing for different people and haven't even started yet. So yesterday also made me panic. AAAHHHH less than two months until Christmas and I am totally unprepared. So I am polling you guys to see who has started on their stichy Christmas presents and who hasn't? Please don't tell me I am the only one that has not started.

Carissalindsey, are you in Colorado or maybe Nebraska? I need to get some Christmas ornaments together to do. My grandson and I made a snowman head on perforated paper, and he wants to hang it on their tree. There are 3 or 4 other snowmen to do, but there are mittens also, so I don't know if I have enough time. I want to do Christmas cards also.

Hi Carissa. I have a large favor to ask in regard to weather related comments. I don't have good memory and would be happy if people posted state, etc. when discussing weather info. Here in Central NYS we have had temps in the 70's and 80's until just a few days ago. Right now it is 46 with a wind chill of 34. It has been raining off and on all day, but we won't expect snow for several weeks. Keep on with the stitching! Karen

Like many others our temps in SE Michigan have been nuts! A week ago today it was near 90 degrees, this morning there is frost on the ground and 33 degrees. No snow yet - thank goodness - since I have a ton of outdoor cleanup to do.

As for Christmas gifts - I have 2 done (Imaginating hairdryers formed with words for Mom's hairdressers), but still have to sew into pillows which won't take too long. Am almost finished with the cross stitching pieces that I am going to make into a throw. I have 2 left to do out of 24 total - one Sue Hillis (the Santa clothes on a clothesline which is called Good Night) and 23 Lizzie Kate Santa's and snippets. I am about half way done with the Sue Hillis one and then just a small snippet "Don't Get Your Tinsel in a Tangle". Am pushing to get this all done by the end of the month since I am also giving my nephew and his wife a baby shower at the beginning of Dec. for their 1st. child. We are all excited since it will be Mom's 1st great grandchild - 1st child on our side of the family, and the only hope to continue the family name!

We had snow here in western Wisconsin, too, Carissa. But not as much as you did. I was not home this weekend, I was at a cross-stitch retreat in Minnesota about two hours away, but my husband emailed me and said we had about a half-inch of the nasty white stuff on the decks. Gee, and I missed it!! 😄 Where I was in Minnesota, there was nothing at all!

I'm not doing any Christmas stitching this year. I'm having cataract surgery in a couple of weeks, so I'm going to skip it this year.

One of my step-sons live in Friend, Nebraska, and he told his dad that it was snowing. So I figured you had to be in Colorado or Nebraska. We used to live in Colorado, so we keep track of the weather on Facebook with friends.

I'm involved in super-tiny miniature projects right now -- haven't even thought about Christmas. May ignore it this year!
