Your public library has, or can get, about a billion and one alphabets. šŸ˜Š

I think the OP is looking for iron ons, not just patterns. My library has never had those...and if they did, I would not 'use' the transfers from a library book.

Have you tried Amazon, eBay or Etsy?

This packet has a smaller font, but would be embroidery or back stitch...https://colonialpatterns.com/aunt-martha-4031-modern-alphabet/

This one says 1 3/4" tall. You could leave off the flowers. https://colonialpatterns.com/aunt-martha-3904-cross-stitch-alphabet/

If you are wanting iron on transfers to embroider the alphabet, I would look on 123 Stitch or the Herrschners web site. They usually carry some by Aunt Martha.

thank you all of theses responses. Iā€™m not looking for an iron on. I am trying to find a transfer pattern so that I can cross stitch my sons name on his stocking. I am terrible at crossstitch but could follow a pattern. I found an alphabet set that you iron onto fabric and it transfers ink onto fabric so you can stitch over it. The problem is that they are too large. I need 1ā€ and they are 2ā€.

Could you free hand it, use a pencil and lightly draw the letters on?

I think java mentioned you could find an embroidery transfer at 123stitch.com...
You might try DMCs new Magic Fabric...it's a clear perforated sheet that sticks to the fabric that gives you a grid to work cross stitch...it then washes away. Kind of a "melty" waste canvas. Better, though, since you can work knits without a backing...clear as mud?

These are by Aunt Martha and are the transfer. They are not iron on letters. After ironing the letter transfers to the fabric. You then embroidery or back stitch...https://colonialpatterns.com/aunt-martha-4031-modern-alphabet/

There are also markers that you can write on the fabric, then stitch over the ink. Depending upon what type marker is used, water, heat or pressure will remove the remaining ink.
