Oh yay I'm so glad you posted this! Usually we wait until the day after Thanksgiving but our son is chomping at the bit so we agreed to do it tomorrow. I'm pretty excited. 😀🌲🎄i love the trees in your village! I might like to start a cute collection like that now that my son is older.

We had a super nice afternoon this week, so got all the outside lights up. We will wait until Thanksgiving night to turn them on tho.

So cool! Can't wait to put our stuff up. We are going for Black Friday.

We did outside lights already too...had relatively nice day that coincided with my husbands day off. A rare occurrence.
I have a new addiction, battery operated lights!

DH removed my sweet trees that had snow on them. They go with our Nativity set at the holidays. He said the tress looked tired and droopy. I plan on purchasing newer ones. I will not tell him that the old ones my dad had bought in the 1950s from a store that sold model trains! Go to a store that sold Christmas decor things? Not on his tintype! So, I will replace the ones that lasted 60 years to go with the old German Nativity that has survived 90 years or more!

I am so glad others are thinking of putting out decorations. My younger daughter and I listened to Christmas music on the way to her older son's play last week. We also saw some lights on already. My husband usually puts up the lights outside, but this year we aren't. He falls off the ladder almost every year, doesn't hurt anything, but it's just a matter of time. He is 78 and doesn't need to be doing that. I think that it's because I took out all of the flower beds and put in mulch so I could just put a plant here or there. The mulch might be a little harder to fall on than some winter dead flowers. We had all mums, so they were kind of cushy. But he just doesn't need to do it any more.

Early schmerly - you do it when you like! I have begun as well - just too much going on to wait. I do like to get my outside done before Thanksgiving so I can beat the super cold and snow. I would have had to do that in Oct. this year! Yesterday I got everything ready and this morning will get it put up outside. Just beginning 1 of the 3 trees I do inside. Since we are not having Thanksgiving at our house this year, I don't mind getting the inside started. Your houses look great!

I think I got the star lights at Lowe’s, or Home Depot. We are still a work in progress here. Gracie has been busy undoing the lights I put in the dining room, so I finally gave up, and moved them. She’s also been known to to take the ornaments off of the trees, and hide them.
