When I ordered the Penguin Joy stocking and added the floss to my order, I thought it included the Glissengloss too, which now I find out it doesn't. I not sure why, because without the pattern, you would not know which colors to order. I have Kreinik floss and DMC Light Effects on hand. Would either of them work?

I have used glissengloss on many projects and it is a thin filament. I think the Kreinik floss and the DMC Light Effects would be too thick to give your project the justice it needs. I think it will make it too clunky and chunky. You could try either one with the required 2 strands of regular DMC floss on a piece of scrap fabric and work a small area and see if you like it. Let us know what you think after you work with it a bit.

You are absolutely correct that the GlissenGloss should've been included in our online supply list so you could order it with the supplies. I am guessing someone might have missed those when adding the supplies for this a while back.

If you could contact our Customer Service department either by phone or email, we can correct this error for you. Our office number is 800-800-8517 Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm EST or you can email us at service@everythingcrossstitch.com. Please give them your name and order number and let them know that you are missing items from an order. I will give them a heads up about this as well :)

I also updated our description for this design so now customers will know what items are missing from our online supply list. We do not carry the DMC Pearl Cotton 8 floss or the Stoney Creek buttons so we can't list those to purchase. But the GlissenGloss should've been added and we will correct this for you.

Thanks for your quick reply Kristi@ECS. I live in Canada, so with the shipping, insurance, and dollar exchange, it is not worth it for me to order just 3 floss at this time. I will have to try something else.
