Checking ItTwice
I was thinking of buying it until I saw your post. How difficult is it?

That is an Artecy pattern. I have seen one pattern of an angel. The pattern comes in several pages. This one looks like an "all over". Since I have never done one, I am sure some stitchers can jump in and give you tips about gridding your fabric and working each page like it is "just one pattern". I don't know if that makes sense. It is a really pretty pattern and will be beautiful when finished. Like I said, I think some other stitchers will jump in and give some great advice. I am not an employee. I am a stitcher on this site. Merry Christmas. Pam

I am almost finished with this one. It's 16 pages that seemed overwhelming when I first started, but I just worked one page at a time, one stitch at a time, and now I'm almost done! On the plus side it is all full crosses, and no back stitching. On the minus side, there is LOTS of color changes to get the shading. I'm working on 18 count and using 2 threads. The suggested count is 14, but I didn't like the coverage with 2 threads, and didn't want to use 3 threads with this big of a project. I did not grid mostly because I have never done it before. Sometimes I wish I had, but it has all worked out. I'll post a picture when I'm finally finished. I'm also so glad I did this project and would say just go for it, it's so worth it.

Heck, I have been doing counted cross stitch since 1950, but I have never done a "cover-all" pattern! Next year, which is only 11 days away, will be my first cover-all. I plan to finish off my WIPs before they die and work around the cover-all. I have two or three cover-alls kitted up with fabric and floss set to go. I will spend the next ten days trying to decide which one. Not sure that I can pick one, but DH will help decide. Fabric is gridded and I feel good about stitching my way into new territory.
Hope my health holds out!

I have done several Artecy charts and also several full coverage pieces from assorted designers. I prefer them - to me, they're easier to do. I don't grid my fabric. I just take one 10 by 10 block at a time until I finish the page, then go to the next page. They're numbered so you can keep them in order. Yes, there is a lot of color changes which can be a pain but in the end it is SOOOO worth it!

I have not done this one but right now am working on a piece that I had designed for me from a famous painting and the pattern is 20 pages and I am working on 28 count with 2 threads and it is a cover all like all my works. They may seem daunting but I work one 10 x10 block at a time and go across each page and with over 120 colors this is the only way to go without going crazy and making mistakes. It is well worth the time and effort in the end for creating masterpieces.

I really love this piece, and thought about buying it, but I have soooo many Santas to do. I like cover all pieces, and have several going at all times. I recently put some on the shelf, because I have so much floss in my baskets, I ran out of room. I like to keep small pieces around just for a break from the larger pieces. But I bet you would enjoy working on this piece.

Beekie, I recently learned parking while doing cross stitch projects. It makes things so much easier and quicker. To do parking you really must grid your fabric. You can learn both these methods (they are not difficult at all) by checking you tube. Good luck!
