When stitching on gauze is this stitched with half stitches or whole stitches? Over 1? 2?

I am sorry but I have never stitched on "gauze". Is this something new? I really like the pattern.

If you are stitching on the recommended 40 count silk gauze, most often you would stitch half crosses or tent stitch over one.

Oh, wow! I have never seen silk gauze. Forty count would put out my only remaining eye. I would love to see somebody's work. I have some work done years ago without cheaters I think 32 count and never thought a thing about it. Pam

I love this piece! I'll be checking in; never stitched on gauze but am really curious about what you lovely ladies come up with! If anyone has success, can you post a photo? Happy stitching sisters !πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸŒ»πŸ’•

This is a very fine fabric, tension is important, and happy stitching should you decide to stitch on it, I would not attempt it. Kathy
