I looked at the ECS web site. It is a pattern and you would need to order both the fabric and the floss (70 colors). As far as skill level, I always think of one stitch at a time and as I was told when I started (as long as you can count, you can do it). You would probably want a couple of small projects to do in between to give yourself a rest. It is a beautiful pattern and when finished will be very unique.
