Why not? It would be very dramatic.

I think this is what is called a cover all basing on how many black skeins it calls for. So you would be saving yourself a lot of stitches and time to do it on black aida.

I find working on black Aida extremely difficult.

It is not easy to stitch on black but it is totally worth it. I use an OTT lamp and put a white towel behind the work. It is a challenge and I don't stitch as quickly, but I love the result. Pam

I would definitely do this on black fabric. I'm working on Girl with a Pearl Earring which comes in either a kit as a cover-all with a black stitched background or as just the pattern with no background. I opted to stitch just the pattern on black rather than stitch the entire black background that surrounds the Girl. Much easier, and now that I'm almost done with her, I've found stitching on black isn't so bad if you use Pam's hints of a bright stitching lamp and a white cloth beneath it to highlight the holes in the fabric. Works for me!

What type of frame are you thinking of? If you decide to fill in the black....hope you don’t .......use Anchor black as most of us here agree that it fills in better than DMC black.

I have a similar project in my basket for when I finish up with Sweet Remembrance and I totally plan on stitching it on black! I'd love to see your progress on this if you decide to go that way. I think it's a great idea for cover alls that are mostly black.
