I'm just guessing, but from all of the detail in that dragon, I would think there would be quite a bit of backstitching. Backstitching is usually what brings out the detail you need for something like this.

No, I do not believe this will have any backstitching. I almost sure that Charting Creations is full coverage, with no backstitching. I think their patterns are the same as Heaven & Earth or Mystic Stitch. It will be a lot of thread changing. Very detailed cross stitching.

Was just on their website and they have another called Plot Twist with a griffin.

Wow, I've never heard of this designer, but I went to their website also! They have some beautiful stuff! I did find under FAQs that their patterns, except for a few, do not contain any backstitching or specialty stitches. They have a lot of options on their patterns, too. Thanks for alerting me to this designer!

Hi Chinook. Looking at the info to the right of the picture, it says 2 strands of floss over one in full stitches. Hope this helps. Karen
