When you click on the item - it comes up as PRINTED in the title.

The actual thread colour card is more expensive, usually around $45.

I just received this DMC color card with the same cover shown here 2 days ago from another seller. When I checked ECS to order it a few months ago, they were only selling the old computer printed version with printed colors. If I remember right, the cover was different, I think dark blue and not all white like this cover, with no thread swatches only printed colors and quite useless. I ordered the color card with the thread swatches somewhere else at that time and it went onto back order, so it has been a long wait to receive it, but it has the identical white cover as shown here now, has the actual thread swatches inside, and is the same price as here around $25 (I think the printed only version was around $10 +/-).

The comments attached to the item here are confusing. Many are quite old and it seems many comments were before this new card came out which was some time last year. My guess is that this new item was given the same identifying number as the old product and had all of these old comments about the quality of the printed card version attached to it, but this is just a guess since I am only a stitcher who uses the chat board here.

The new card is like my very old one with the actual thread swatches. The only flaw I noticed in the new color card was the top row of thread swatches all the way across the card are 1/2 the size of the ones below it- just an annoying manufacturing and visual defect. I would contact customer service here (their contact info is under the customer care tab at the top of this page) during their normal business hours to check on this item and clear up the confusion on their listing (it even says printed after DMC Color Card in their title at the top).

The DMC color card pictured above looks to me exactly like the color card listed on dmc.com as containing samples of the actual thread. It is listed as $24.99. DMC also shows a printed color card with a slightly different cover. This one sells for $9.99 and is currently out of stock. You can compare the two and see what you think. Maybe Kristi can straighten out this dilemma, also.

This card is updated but the card does not have the actual samples of floss in it. It's all printed :( Not sure if DMC will ever go back to having those type floss sample cards again but this one only has the printed pictures of floss inside of it. Sorry!

You can get them both ways -- I have one of each. I have the older chart that only has pics of the thread. And I recently ordered one of the very newest with all of the new colors that have actual thread samples. Swear by the 'thread' one because the colors are very accurate, although the other one can work well. The one with the actual thread pieces is a little more expensive - don't remember how much -- maybe between $20-$30 dollars but well worth it.

So thank you all for bringing this to our attention. Jennifer and I are very confused and we are contacting our distributor about this as well as DMC. We order this from our distributor who get is from DMC and our description as well as our distributors description states that this card is printed only and doesn't contain actual samples. Now, when we go to the actual DMC website and look at this product, they actually state that the card is made up of actual strands. Sooooo we are really confused. We have these in stock and the ones we sell are just printed....I made sure to open one up and check it out for myself.

I just wanted to give everyone a clarification of what we have actually available on the website. And to let you know that we are contacting both DMC and our distributor about it so we can get un-confused, lol! Thanks everyone and I will keep you posted as soon as I know something.

Again, the color card that we have available is just printed. That's the only we have.
