They have one job
Our cats are going to joining the unemployment line. This morning I opened the corner cupboard to find a potato with one end chewed off, two packages of cocoa opened, and holes in bags of walnuts, almonds, stuffing, and chocolate chips. I should have guessed that something was up when I found Gracie sitting on top of the stove last night, staring at the cupboard,I spent the morning throwing out everything that even remotely looked like it may have been on the snack list, and scrubbing the shelves. Anything untouched, but something a mouse might like is in the oven for now. (I just need to remember not to use it!)

I just took some towels out of basket to throw into washer and found dry dog food underneath. I immediately checked all kitchen cabinets and drawers. You'd also better stick a note on oven for assurance you don't turn it on, been there too. lol

I got everything (what’s left) into plastic containers, so I’m safe to use the oven! I had a car that critters filled the air cleaner with dog food, string, furry stuff, and anything else they could find. I took it in for service, and when I went to pick it up the guys were all laughing, then showed me the box full of stuff they found.

Perhaps they have become enviromentalists!!! You know - the ones that think all beings have a right to exist including what we call pests!!

I'd be happy if they only existed outside of my house. Jaj, you're lucky they didn't chew some wires, or is that just squirrels?

My oven doesn’t have have knobs, just buttons....I considered a post it note, but I found enough containers to hold what’s left of the food!

My cats have brought in mice!!! I was angry as all get-out!!! My H wonders why there's a big Rubbermaid tub on the floor of the pantry... well, duh! Dry goods are in there!! Because his cats are NOT helping!!

My cat is worthless as a mouser as well. I had a post about this same thing a while ago. She came nose to nose with it three times and just looked at it, then then DH came home and started to chase it with a broom, she decided to climb on top of her cat post and go to sleep. She made him do all the work...lol
