A continuing WIP..... ‘Sacred Hour’
This is the WIP I had to ‘frog’ out 3 hours of stitching because I used the wrong color. Those who have seen this WIP occasionally over the last year and a half, may not see too much forward progress on it. But considering it is ‘1 over 1’ on 28-count fabric, seeing large areas that are completed quickly is not going to happen because of the large amount of switching from one subtle floss color to another.
Oh.....by the way, this is the 2005 pattern I spoke of where I used the ‘original’ floss color key without making a ‘working’ copy and did the hyper- chicken dance.
PS: the ‘coastal’ color above the pattern is one of my sofa pillows I put the frame against to take the picture.

Beautiful work. So sorry you had to "frog" but you would not be happy with it if you had not corrected it. Ah what we do for our craft!

I see now why it's taking so long to show much progress. Your work is beautiful. So glad to hear you were able to get a copy of "original" floss color key. I was stressed out in a similar situation while working on the "Fishing Santa" that I posted today.

It is going to be beautiful, Bermuda. This is one of those works that will be a family heirloom. Doing one over one-hopefully, when someone fixes my eye. As usual, great work, Bermuda. Pam

It's beautiful, Bermuda! After stitching two of Thea Gouverneur's cityscapes, I can relate to how long it takes to make any progress when stitching 1 over 1 on 28ct. I did mine on 36ct and they took an average of 18 months each to stitch. And I'm thinking of starting another one soon before I get too old to see the fabric any longer! 👵 Thank goodness for magnifiers! 😄

I can only hope that someday I can do something as lovely as you all can do!

Love seeing this update, Bermuda. I think there is a lot of progress since last post. Beautiful work. Error of wrong color on her arm would def been 'off', I hate that it happened to you. Liz
Crusin Pam, you CAN do this too. It's still one stitch at a time, but a lot of changing colors. I have a needle for every color using the Pako NEEDLE organizer and saves a lot of time.

That is so beautiful and mystical.

Absolutely beautiful! Gives me incentive to attempt one of the two projects in my stash that are 1 over1😳
