I am thinking that you are looking at counted cross stitch fabric vs stamped cross stitch fabric. The counted cross stitch fabric doesn't have any design on it until you stitch it by using a pattern. Stamped cross stitch is exactly that. The pattern is stamped onto the fabric and you follow that stamped pattern to fill in your colors. I am not sure if this is what you are asking but hope it helps.

Do you want to work on a counted cross stitch project or a stamped embroidered project? If you want something that is already stamped onto material, that is most likely not counted cross stitch. Counted cross stitch is worked on an even weave material - Aida cloth, linen, that sort of thing, and you follow a printed chart or graph. You may want to contact Kristi directly, and she can help you find a project that is not too big or difficult. Just a suggestion from someone who started embroidering (stamped cross stitch) when I was about 8 years old, and started counted cross stitching about 30 years ago, and I'm 66 now!

Norma, there are still many of us cross stitching. If you are looking for stamped cross stitch projects, go to "Products" above, click on it and a menu will drop down. Go down the list to "Stamped Projects" and there you will find cross stitch patterns already stamped on the fabric (also listed under "Stamped Projects"). There are also prefinished stitchable stamped items like pillow cases, towels, baby bibs, etc. Good luck in finding something you'd like to stitch!

Welcome to the ‘chat’ room Norma! The other stitchers have said it best - go under ‘Products’ beneath the Everything CrossStitch logo and there are ‘stamped’ patterns offered that you may be interested in.
There are a LOT of stitchers on this chat ie. ‘Counted’ Cross Stitchers- we follow a pattern we purchased to stitch it onto a ‘blank’ piece of fabric; stitchers that purchase ‘stamped’ pattern’s here on ECS to stitch.

Hi Norma! I did a stamped cross stitch for my parents 35 years ago and than I took up stitching again now that I am retired. I am new to this site but have found that any question you have about stitching can be asked here and everyone is very helpful. Crusin60 Pam
