Halloween House Square
Does anyone know if this is stitched on black with the yellow, orange and red being cross stitched in to make the silhouetted image of the house etc.? Or is it all stitched on white or off white using black along with the other colors.

LadyJ - I went to Artecy's web-site and looked at the floss usage list for this item. it calls for 10 skeins of black so I would guess their suggestion is to stitch on white/off-white fabric (didn't see fabric color noted). That said, you could stitch it on black and just stitch the other colors. There are 6 other colors besides black showing on the floss usage chart. Hope that helps! NancyV

I did the same thing as NancyV. I scrolled down a little further and saw that the "suggested" fabric was white aida. Most or Artecy patterns are 100% coverall. I would also recommend an off-white fabric also. It is going to look fabulous!

HAPPY STITCHING

Chromatic alchemy in the UK ( tie-dyed fabrics) has a piece called ' fire rooster' which is almost like the coloured area of your chart. You would only need to do the black stitching😊

Thanks for all the advice. I think I will do it on off white or white and stitch all the colors. It is in my wish list now. I think my dad would love this one along with the Trick or Treat one I did for him. He loves Halloween!
