Birthday Present
My dads birthday is in March. We play pool together. Is this easy enough to get done by the 19th of March?

It depends on how much time you have and how fast you can stitch, Katy. I know I couldn't do it in a couple of weeks.

Okay. I started to leave a post but didn't. This is an Artecy pattern and it will be multiple pages. It will take many hours to stitch and I don't know how much time a day you can stitch. This is not to discourage you because completing an Artecy pattern is awesome. Peace. Pam

That would be about 30,000 stitches with 62 different colors. Maybe you could start it now for his birthday next year or whenever you finish it. I am sure he would be pleased whenever he received it. Karen

Katye, the advice here is very wise. When I was in my 30's and 40's and stitching up a storm, I still found that I would work on something that would take me longer than I thought. I really think a great idea is to start it (he'll love it and be so proud of you) and work at a pace you would enjoy and feel comfortable, then give it to him for his next birthday, or Christmas...or maybe after you two play pool together one night. Maybe I'm wrong, and you can stitch faster and longer than I think. Do what you think is best.
It's wonderful that you two play pool together. I wish I had tried harder at golf with my dad, but was not good and ended it up being his caddy. He has been gone since '96 and my mom since 2014. I miss them every day.

Are you the same Katye as the one on the WOCS board? If so, it seems like you manage to get projects finished quickly. As long as his birthday isn't March 1st I am sure you can get this done by the end of the monoth . You could always wrap the partially finished picture and finish it up afterwards. If you are a different Katye, you just need to evaluate how long it will take. It would take me several months. Looks like a fun piece. Maybe stitching on a dark green fabric would eliminate a lot of the background stitching.
