Humm. So if you finish the kit, the put some sort of fabric on the back...what about if secure a matching fabric loop (with a little of the loop between fabric and back of stitching, thus most of loop extends out of fabric), then you put one of the round rings that's used with keyrings, on the loop. Hope you can follow that :-)

You could do it on plastic canvas and put felt on the back I think I saw keychains at the dollar store and you would just attach it to the ring on the chain. Post a picture when it's done.
