DMC makes a color "swatch" card booklet where the dmc numbers actually have a very small sample of actual floss for you to see. ECS sells it and I think it is about $25.00. I use mine all the time especially if I want to change the colors in my design. It really is a good investment. Pam

Upon close and I mean CLOSE( I have cataracts) examination, this looks like a combination of 3 different colors...

I know I didn't answer the question. I agree with Bermuda. Pam

Miss Crossstitch is again using the wrong name for the right web site! This is a DMC Coloris color, so you can probably use the number like you have. The floss number is a dark maroon 4522.
Thiber Stitchers is not a site. It does not exist. The proper site name is Cyberstitchers.com Miss C has been sending questions about floss colors to the wrong place, which doesn't exist anywhere. Since this is an open forum, we are not employees of this site, just a group of stitchers who enjoy helping others.
God bless us all, but please not to put the WRONG information out there. That wastes everyone's time. It even upsets the person who asks for information. They come here for help and most of us do not mind helping any stitcher asking for information. Soap box reliquinshed. Again.

Darlene, #4522 is DMC Coloris 6 strand floss referred to as Canadian Night. It's a variegated skein of floss. It's available here at ECS by clicking on the floss and thread tab. The cost is $1.55 per skein. If you're looking for a single shade of maroon, maybe try a different brand of floss, ie. Anchor, Sullivan.
I hope this clears up any confusion you may have had. Just a stitcher who saw your posting.
