You make me feel so guilty as I have only finished stitching my first one and had the idea of doing at least 5!! Ha Ha!!!!! And I haven't even sewed it together yet.

Another adorable one. How did the week go with the grandsons?

deirdre, it is only "one stitch at a time". Time consuming yes, but the kids love them and that's what counts!

How do you know where to start the first stitch?
Posted by: Cory on 03/31/19
Cory, the pattern is exactly as any other pattern. The centre is indicated, find the centre of your fabric and begin in the middle. When you are finished, you will have a stocking shaped "picture". The stocking is then cut out and assembled. Finishing instructions are included. Hope this helps! Mary

I tried as I could last year. It made me decide to not impose deadlines on myself! But it seems that baby gifts and stitching for family and friends made me feel too pushed to get things done. It only took me until March to find stockings each different and yet each part of the Nutcracker. Lots of beads, metallic floss, etc. With a wild year this stitcher started the year by having a big surgery (it scared the neurosurgeon, our mutual goal being to move the spinal cord back to where it was supposed. The news is coming next week, when I will have my last visit with him.
I still have 4.5 out of 5 stockings to do. Yes, of course, I once again am pushing my limits. I think I can get them done by Christmas 2020!
I don't know, but I sent purchased stockings, but let them know that better ones will appear! Congratulations! You can almost see all the happy stocking smiles.
