Past week in retrospect....
1) X-Ray negative - no rib fractures ( good)
2) saw 3 geckos in the gardens (good....why do geckos
STARE at you?)
3) ‘My lady’ morning Dove did another wing spread as I
watered the garden - she appears to enjoy her bath
Immensely. (Good)
4) friend of many years decided she knew what I was
thinking and proceeded to tell me what I was thinking
when it wasn’t what I was thinking at all. I personally
Didn’t feel I had to ‘explain my existance’ to her.
(Not good but i’ve Moved on...)
5) Didn’t lift anything heavier than a frying pan. (Good)
6). Making progress on ‘Iwo Jima’ ( very good)
7). Started ‘drip line’ irrigation for backyard flower beds
after replacing batteries and re-programming it. ( really
good considering I’m ‘non-techy’)
Over-all, a fairly good week.

Anyone else like to comment on their past week?

I spent a few days in the hospital with cardiac issues. And innumerable blood tests, echocardiogram, venous ultrasounds, a a CAT scan, for which I neede a 14-hour pre-medication regimen because I'm allergic to the Contrast Dye!

Wow!! Another ‘poke-and-prod’ week for you. I’m sorry to hear you had to go through that. Are you feeling better?

Stomach flu. DH sick also. That is all.

Hi Bermuda
I was about to start a new chat when I read your post which is pretty much what I was thinking. You have been busy! Here in Queensland it is Autumn which is always a beautiful time of year. The humidity has gone, there is just a very slight chill in the air and to sit in the sunshine is just divine! BUT for the past 6 weeks or so we have had rain nearly every day. So unusual here but the garden is in great condition AND I am doing so much cross stitch I should have my 16" x 12" project finished in record time. My little birds spend nearly all day sitting on my front patio out of the rain. Here is a picture taken from my front door this week. Looks more like England than sunny Queensland.

Nothing broke, no one got hurt. Around here that’s a good week.

Last Monday I was at the Doctor's to have my legs checked. It was of course raining. My walker decided it didn't want to go the way I did and we parted company and I went down forehead first in a puddle on the asphalt. It hurt. Anyway after a two minute ambulance trip to the hospital (still haven't got the bill) and a complete going over (x-rays, cat-scan, blood letting and on and on, they decided nothing was broken, just badly bruised.
Still have a large goose egg on my forehead. I look like I'm trying out for the Raccoon in Guardians of the Galaxy. Luckily I like purple, but not as a face colour. My left wrist is getting back to normal, actually was able to start stitching yesterday.
My knees are healing, as is my elbow.
Everybody was very nice and helpful. My Doctor cam out to help me up. The drugstore staff all came out to offer support and have phoned to see how I'm doing. That's a week I don't want to repeat thank you very much. I do hope that some one out there had a very good week. Diane

Bermuda - I still feel crappy, but I did get some cross stitching time in yesterday and today.
Posted by: mkhanes on 05/18/19
That ‘s what is nice about cross stitching Mchanes. If you feel crappy, you can cross stitch and it will either give you some peace of mind for a bit or you can stab that needle into the fabric to let off some steam. I’ll pray that you start feeling better quickly!
Sue Pitt- Hope you and your DH get rid of the nasty flu bug
soon!
Jaj, might not want to say that too loudly....
Sylvia: What a beautiful view from your front door! Love your arbor! Because I’m not well educated regarding your country down under and because it is HUGE can you give me a ROUGH idea of where you are located? Are you in the Northwest, North, South? I’ve only seen picture and watched some programs onto but it usually showing dry, dusty flatlands with kangaroos, wallabies, etc. not the beautiful green landscape I see from your front door!

Transhop, you are SOOO LUCKY you did not break something. Unfortunately you are going to be hurting for a while with your forehead ‘knob’ and bruises you didn’t know you even had until you see the bruises on your skin.
I pray you get better soon very quickly. Between you, mchanes, Su Pitt and her DH trying to recover and Janet going through her situation, all of us ‘prayer warriors’ are going to be praying like crazy to get everyone healthy again. I shall consider myself lucky that I only have to recover from having a run-in with a palm tree...

I have not left the house for three weeks. Have I told anyone I may have a problem? I hope and pray that everyone that had a bad week be it physically or any other way, has a better week coming up. Bermuda, leave the palm trees alone. Or should I say, Bermuda, step away from the palm trees! MK, I truly hope you are feeling better. Diane, sorry about your accident. That was a horrible thing to happen! Su, I hope you and DH are on the mend. It's bad when one can't take care of the other. Pam
