technical info on project is incorrect on this pattern's webpage.
I recently purchased the "United States" by Cody Country Crossstitch, LLC.
I received it yesterday and have discovered that the page that advertises the item has some major errors.
1) it shows it was stitched on white aida cloth.
It wasn't.
According to the pattern cover, it was stitched on black aida cloth--which, by the way, I had already decided would be better than white.
2) the size on the webpage says the completed project (14cnt) is 10.4" x 10.4"
It's not.
It is actually 17.86" x 17.86". 18 count is 13.89 x 13.89.
3) the stitch count is, in reality, 246 x 245. The webpage shows 145x145.
Because the image on your webpage appeared to show black cloth would be more striking than white, I had purchased black 14 count aida, 15 x 18.
Obviously, that will cloth will not work. I will need to buy another size.
I'm hoping this will be corrected before the next person is mislead.
So, everyone take notice. If you want to complete this project, the info on the webpage is way, way wrong.

I strongly suggest that you contact the Customer Service Department. (Click on the Customer Care button near the top of the page) If Everything Cross Stitch made the error they definitely will correct the problem. This company has excellent Customer Service. FYI -- they will be closed tomorrow (Memorial Day) but someone should see your message Tuesday.

Thank you, Nancy.
I did indeed contact them.
But because of it being Memorial Day weekend, I wanted to caution others before they purchased the pattern without the full information.

I would definitely contact ECS here about the size of the project. They are really good in their customer service department. Just looking at the picture there is no way that that was stitched on black Aida cloth. There is too much brown, tans and lighter colors in the background.

I guess I was wrong about being stitched on black Aida, but I would still do this on white Aida if I was doing it and stitch a black border all around the sides. I don't like stitching on black Aida. It is just too hard for these "old eyes" to see.

I have several Cody Country patterns and have never had any problems with them. Don't blame you for checking before you start your project.

According to the pattern itself, the project was indeed stitched on black.
It’s easier to see on the photo with the pattern. The photo is very large and so that detail is unmistakable. You can see around the edge that it is black.
Everything else fills in the spaces.
