Has anyone done this using a orange fabric
I know we talked about this before but I was hoping to see someone's finish products. I'm so numb sometimes== I ordered Crystal Eek and forgot I ordered it and now I just received another Eek with out the crystals. Which one to do LOL!

Hi Crusin,
I did this pattern, but as discussed previously I used the linen color suggested. I would take a picture of it, but it is securely packed away up in the attic and I’m not in the mood to go up there and do battle with the storage boxes.
I think the ‘Eek’ fabric would work nicely since it is orange with smudges of black. Since you have the fabric, both with the crystals and without, you might want to “pull” the
Pattern’s floss colors and lay them on top of the fabric - as a group - to help you decide if you want the crystal Eek or
Other Eek. It may help you to decide.
Also, when I plan to use a hand-dyed fabric for a pattern, I will turn the fabric in different positions to decide which way I think the fabric’s colors would be most attractive. I used a blue-gray-white smudge hand-dyed fabric for a winter scene and positioned the fabric in different directions; finally decided for more of the white of the fabric at the bottom position and the larger blue- gray dyed area for the winter sky for a more dramatic ‘winter sky’ look for the top of the pattern.
I loved doing this pattern and I’ll bet you will too!
Have fun with it and whatever you decide it will come out looking great! 😊

Pam, i started to stitch this on clementine orange and I don't like the way it looks. I would like to do it on the fabric shown on the pattern. I want something that gives it more "character" than just a flat orange. If you find something, let me know. Pam

I took a picture of the fabric not sure if the color will come thru so you can see it! I will flip a coin and decide😊

On my monitor the colors look pink with splashes of blue.
Which just goes to show how color monitors - at least mine - doesn’t show true colors.

I think you will do what you will do! Were I doing this again, I would not waste the crystal on this design. Anyhow, why not contact PTP and trade one piece for a different fabric for a different project? They are very kind, friendly and will exchange unused fabric.

Yeah, that blue and pink is a different direction for this pattern...I also used the Havana linen which looks like the furtherest, darkest corners of this picture. No orange. 😄

The more I look at it the more I don't like it at all. Someone mentioned they did it on a color called Cyprium --I would like

to do it on 16ct. Not in a hurry so will think about where to go with this!

I think Marz posted something from Aunt Polly Porch and it was done in orange--I liked it and the words were done in a Purple shade--it was made into a pillow. Very cute!

I saw the Cyprium last night and I was thinking of it for a Halloween project. Have you seen the solid black on orange patterns? There is one with a flying witch, arched cat, evil looking pumpkin...I immediately thought of it when looking at the Cyprium. Oh, boy, here I go again with Halloween! 😄
I also think I may have found a suitable fabric for "Blissfully Unaware"!!! I'm excited! 😄

Pam, the Eek that I just saw on 123stitch.com, does not look anything like what is showing on this thread (with blue and pinkish swirls on a light background). Now, I'm curious, what colors am I supposed to see?

My understanding is Eek is suppose to be a medium orange with splotches of black, but that’s NOT what my monitor shows visually. I got the description from the PTP description.
VCESS, so you have ‘Blissfully aware” pattern also. It’s cute and scary at the same time. When I do get to it, I’m going to make it into a small framed sign whereas a person approaching the front door has to get close enough to be able to read it, have a few seconds to comprehend it, then look back over their shoulder.....especially since standing at our front door
Puts the person in a small alcove area. 😳
