That's when I put blinders on, focus on the positives (that confetti is getting done and is contributing to what I want done), and work on a "quickie". 😄

You are not alone Deirdre. I went back to ‘Operation Dawn’ pattern as a reprieve from all the grey, black and blue colors of the “Love Me Not” WIP. The only thing that occurred when I changed to OD was a respite to brighter autumn colors, but it submerged me into ‘Confetti Land.”
I wonder when the designer’s create these patterns with all the ‘confetti’ in it, if they don’t rub their hands together and laugh like Renfield....maybe with a bit of drool escaping from one side of their mouth..... eyes staring, unblinking at the design.....and a humpback if seen in silhouette....

Yes, confetti is a pain in the whatever, Deirdre, but just think how gorgeous all that detail is going to look when you finally wade through it all! Just take a deep breath and consider it the price you have to pay to get what you originally saw in the project in the first place. Nothing worth it's salt comes cheaply! 😣 Hang in there and you'll get through all that confetti in no time!

I agree with you all about the confetti, but like Susiebelle said, it is so worth it. The finish work will be worth it.

Let's face the awful truth...the confetti is what made you pick the pattern! Thread another needle, Kids, and get on with it! You can have ice cream later. 😊 Or the psyche-numbing liquid of choice! 😄

I know how you feel. I have been working on one wing of my HAED Hummingbird. I got to page 3 of the pattern and it is mostly background. So nice to have a break from the confetti. All of those hours of one here and one there. Not necessarily all confetti but small areas of one color then another color and then.... well you get it.
