Update on JMIRZ
Janet passed away at 1 a.m. this morning. Her sister, Karen, asked if I would post her passing on the ECS chat. She said that Janet considered us friends and that she enjoyed this site so much. In addition, she is wanting to give all of Janet's kits away except the ones that Janet had started for family members. She does not want to donate them to any institution because she wants them to go to the stitchers on this site. There is one kit that Janet started that she absolutely does not want to finish herself. It is Monet's Water Lilies. Janet finished about a page and a half of 15 pages. I suggested that the stitchers pay for postage at least and she said no. She wants to give them and send them in Janet's name. The kits cover all types of subjects and holidays. If you are interested in receiving any of the kits, my email is pamelastine11@yahoo.com Janet's family will be having a memorial service in the next few days and she will be interred next to her father. Their mother is 95 years old.I told Karen that we would now keep Janet's family in our prayers. I am sad. Peace. Pam

I’m so sorry to hear this, please let her family know they are in my thoughts and prayers. Even though we never met, I feel like I lost a dear friend.

Such terribly sad news. And how generous of her to think of the chat. Could we help by finishing the projects she had begun? If they are huge things, perhaps we could work them like a round robin? At least that way we could be of use to her in her final endeavors. Just a thought...

V, her sister just said that she had been a cross stitcher in her past and that she wanted to finish the uncompleted ones because, evidently, they were projects for their family. However, she was adamant about the Monet Water Lilies. She does not want to complete that one.

Knowing that those unfinished ones were for the family is the reason I was offering to help finish them...I meant that they should be returned to the family! That way the family would receive them sooner, rather than later! Surely, she didn't think I meant we should keep them! Please tell her that wasn't what I meant at all!

No, V. She didn't think that we would keep them. It is just, I think, that Janet had started them and I think it is more like this is a last task that she can do for Janet. Plus, she mentioned that she had been a cross stitcher and this may be her way of starting again. She is in the stage where even though you know how ill a loved one is, you are in denial and shock. I will mention again that we would be happy to finish any projects that Janet started and return them to her. Pam

My prayers are with her family🙏 and even though I didn't know her personally her passing brings tears to my eyes. 😥 You have my email so you can get a hold of me that way. I don't feel right about asking for anything so I will say I will gladly stitch and return anything they would like back and stitch it with pride in honor of another wonderful stitcher. I will also help pay for any postage needed for anything they would like to send to other stitchers that need it more than I do.
