D, are you wanting to do stamped or counted cross stitching? I like the pattern you are showing and looks fairly easy as it seems to have only full cross stitches. Pam

I have done this chart. Below is the thread that shows my finished project. This is not stamped, it's counted. It does have lots of back stitching and some partial stitches.

To me, the welcome with the birdhouses chart looks easier and is smaller.

I've done all types of stitchery and find stamped harder than counted cross stitch. The stamped X's don't always line up with the pattern and have areas that you don't know which color is supposed to be there. I found it frustrating.

Since counted cross stitch can be slow to do, I've been focusing on smaller projects and look for one with a lot of the same colors rather than spread out with lots of colors.

This is a very cute and small pattern/picture of a bird bath and flowers (uses a bird button) on my wish list:
