Which one?
I saw that there are 2 other Starry Night patterns and I was wondering if anyone had completed any of these projects, and if so, which one would be best to do? I'm a huge fan of the painting and I plan on framing whichever pattern I get, but I would like to get the best one. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, does anyone have a suggestion for which stitch count I should do (14 vs. 18 vs 22)?

Thanks in advance!

Starry Night is fascinating. I find myself just staring at it. What a mind he had! He saw ordinary things in such strange ways.

There was a suggestion that the artist had cataracts and therefore the halos in the painting...

Interesting, Bermuda. Only goes to show - there is a silver lining to every cloud.

Personally, I wouldn't stitch either version. Too much work. At my advanced age, I seriously doubt that it would get completed.

There are actually 4 different pattern choices here at Everything if you search Starry Night and look down the page a little. The picture you attached has the most thread colors with 87, so there will be a lot of color changing for this version. Artecy's version has 69 colors but looks to be about the same size, there is another by The Fine Arts Heritage Society and is smaller in size at 168 x 134 stitches (in contrast to 300 x 240 for Artecy or 325 x 252 for this one that you attached to your inquiry) but does not indicate how many different thread colors are used, the last one is a Riolis kit approx. 16" square (224 x 224 stitches) on 14 count but is listed as out of stock and does not indicate how many thread colors are used either. So depending on what size you want to stitch and how much color changing you can tolerate, this should help you to decide which one best suits you. Whichever you select, this will be a long term, advanced project and the more color changing you have to do, the longer it will likely take you to complete. The fabric is listed as 14 count for most of these charts, and I would pick a fabric that you are comfortable working on long term. I hope you enjoy stitching this beautiful piece of art.
