Switching fabric from linen to aida
I just purchased this with the 36 count linen and am finding it a little difficult to work with the linen, even though I am going over 2. Has anyone done this on Aida? I was thinking of using 18 count so it would be the same size, or maybe 16 count to be a tad larger. Do you think it would lose something in the look by switching the fabric? Thanks in advance!

It won't have the same retro look, but you should be comfortable. The wedded couple will love it & the work you put into it.

I was afraid of linen as I tried my hand at it with 32 count. I was frustrated and it seemed to go nowhere until I tried it in 28 count linen. I love it. Granted, it doesn't show the beautiful detail as in the 32 count, but my eyesight and sanity was in the balance.

Try you hand at 28 count linen. I just love the linen. But I go back and forth with both. Good Luck.

I agree...I love the 28 count, especially the evenweave....

Love the different combinations of stitching for the flowers on the pattern.

Tex, I have that sampler too. It's a Marilyn Leavit-Inblum from Told in a Garden. Bought fabric, so I hope I Stitch it.

I am using 18 count Aida and it looks beautiful. I found the linen to be too small to work with.

Just received the pattern from Everything Cross Stitch and am considering using 18 count AIDA. I'll let everyone know how it works out.
