Floss for Birds and the Bees
I see that this chart is stitched on 40 count linen. I think it uses 9 skeins of Gloriani 12 thread silk. Not sure though. I want to do it on 28 count linen over two threads. I cannot find how much Gloriani floss to buy or use. Each skein is 6 yds of 12 strand floss. Has anybody else stitched this pattern and how do you know how much to buy. I don't have the pattern yet. Maybe it tells you in it how much you need for 28 count. Does anyone know?

Tough one. On 40ct you'd use 1 strand, on 28ct maybe 2 or 3 strands. Plus, you have to make sure to get the same dyelot of silk floss. So, maybe 3 times the skeins called for with 40 ct. 27 skeins.
Check Caron 12 strand silk. Might be cheaper.. ??? Maybe look for a cotton overdye. But, if it's 6 strands you've got to double the number you buy
